And Jessica Makes 4…

Jessica-2

So it appears I’ve taken a 9 month hiatus from blogging. In fact, my last blog entry was July 31st, 2016… five days after we found out I was pregnant. From that point on, looking at a computer screen made me woozy, I was barfing six to ten times a day requiring IV Gravol and fluids, plus I was in charge of chasing around our busy toddler.

I thought the second time around would be easier: I had a better idea of what to expect (including all those pesky, scary pregnancy symptoms no one seems to ever talk about); I had already been stretched to the limits; and I knew what being induced, labor and a cesarean section were all like. I thought I was a seasoned vet at baby making.

I was wrong. So very, very wrong.

Looking back, I took my pregnancy with Brynlee for granted. This time the morning sickness was worse, I experienced significant round ligament pain, had terrible diastasis recti (also known as abdominal separation), and my left SI joint kept popping out of place warranting numerous trips to the chiropractor. If that wasn’t enough, Brynlee was beginning to assert her independence and autonomy. Blossoming into a beautiful little girl, she was no longer my precious little baby.

With all that being said, I am extremely excited to get back into the swing of things (considering it sounds like all I did was complain for 9 months ^^). Looking back on a few of my posts, I am so thankful that I took the time to put memories down on “paper”. A baby’s first year goes by so fast and is filled with so many milestones and achievements. I’m excited to keep you all updated on our new beautiful family of four!
