Christmas 2018

This year was the best Christmas yet with the girls. We all went to go see Santa Claus, Brynlee 100% got the concept and Jessie was totally mesmerized by all the lights and decorations.

The girls helped me decorate the house.

And helped Craig decorate the outside of the house.

We went to Glow Edmonton to check out the million twinkling lights and had a blast. See my full blog post here.

Craig and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on December. 20th. The same day that our nephew came into this world!

On Christmas Eve we baked sugar cookies and went skating with friends. In the evening we watched Small Foot and put the final touches on the Christmas tree.

We played in the snow A LOT. And celebrated two Christmas’ surrounded by our amazing families.

Preferred mode of transportation is walking and will climb up the stairs any chance she gets

Absolutely adores her big sister & pup and calls them ‘Bee-uh’ and ‘Flo’

Loves climbing up onto the couch to bounce and wrestle with Brynlee and Daddy

1 ER visit for a lip stitch (a bit of a reckless daredevil)

Still loves ALL the food but has a special place for cookies and ice cream

Throws everything off her highchair and enjoys scavenging for crumbs and leftovers once she’s out

No interest in watching TV

Essential oil & tooth brushing enthusiast

Reorganizer and decorator of the house

Nap time bandit but sleeps through the night

Nudist & fresh diaper pooper

Climber, whiner and swim suit steeler

Obsessed with books

Recently visited Dad at work but just ate mini wheats

The Littles & I

Back in May my littles & I spent the afternoon with a beauty of a human and super talented photographer Tracey Jazmin. She was mentoring another photographer and needed a family to capture during the session. Craig was working and wasn’t able to make it but Tracey was so kind, helpful and amazing with my girls that it was just so easy.

After the shoot Tracey very graciously sent over some photos that I will cherish forever. It reminded me of how important it is to get in front of the camera every now and again. Plus to think that she captured these amazing moments while teaching another photographer and helping me wrangle two small children…

So if you’re looking for a mega talented photographer or mentor, she is definitely your girl!

Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to the best girl dad out there. Because of you, our girls will grow up to be strong, smart, confident women. They will always have someone to talk to, pull down the chocolate from the top shelf in the pantry, and play dress up & race around the backyard with. But most importantly, they will always know what it means to be loved.

Green eyes, stick straight poofy asian hair, fair skin like her Daddy

Loves to dance, clap & sing just like her sister

Looks mostly like her mama

Pulls out anything you put in her hair

Obsessed with remotes

Gives hugs and kisses whenever you pick her up. & then grabs hold of the skin on the back of your arm to hang on

Has two go-to positions in her car seat: nosey neighbour or asleep

Still a soother babe which is weird for us because Brynlee ditched hers at 6 months. Hasn’t really transitioned to a ‘lovey’ but loves to snuggle & squish anything soft and cuddly

Bedtime: 6:30pm. When she’s ready for bed she starts pulling her hair and swanton dives for her crib

Crawls at lightening speed, pulls herself up on everything but refuses to stand or attempt to walk on her own

Master of the stairs. Up & down

Can motor around the park unassisted. However slightly fearless and partly oblivious. Goes down the slide head first on her tummy

Big into people watchin’

Favourite cupboard is inside the tupperwear cupboard

Loves to unpack bags and pull out A L L of the wipes

Totally food motivated. Crazy for cookies

Pretty easy going…… until she’s not. Or you try and wipe the cookie crumbs off her face

On March 23rd, our littlest babe turned one. While Craig was at work we celebrated with helium balloons, birthday hats and as per a request by Brynlee – ice cream cone cupcakes with icing and sprinkles! That evening we celebrated with Craig’s family as we were leaving for Maui with mine a couple days later. It was small, it was memorable & I cannot believe she is already one!
