Lifestyle & Newborn Photography

Photographing the Watson family is always so much fun because they are super easy going, totally open to all of my suggestions and ideas… oh and it’s my sister’s family.
Jill knew that shooting at the Muttart was on my summer bucket list so we met there on a gorgeous late August evening. The views, lighting & location certainly did not disappoint and we got so many amazing shots. My niece and nephew each got a photo in front of downtown Edmonton and views of the River Valley with a bunch of info regarding their upcoming school year. Jill & Rick got some really beautiful photos of just the two of them (they just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary!) & of course we got a portrait of their pup Einstein! I had so much fun and look forward to documenting this family for many years to come! Read More

I met this beautiful family a couple of years ago for a mini session & just before Christmas I got to meet this adorable little peanut! Baby Olive is 9 lbs of pure perfection and is already totally adored by her big sister. I think it’s safe to say that they are all settling into being a family of 4 quite nicely.
I can’t wait to run into the ‘MacKinnon sisters’ at the playground this summer! They are beautiful – here are a couple favourites

I consider myself truly lucky to have this photography gig. It allows me to stay home with my girls, make my own schedule & hours, meet new people, contribute to my family’s income and most importantly it allows me to do something I love. However, I can’t have done it without the help and support of all my wonderful friends and family.
Thank you to all of you who have booked me for sessions, shared my posts, referred me to friends, credited my photos, etc… Thank you for believing in me and trusting me to capture your family’s fleeting moments that you may have otherwise forgotten. I shoot from the heart and take these photos as much for me as I do for you & your family. I love to capture the raw, the emotion and connection… I love feeling all the feels.
So this is the perfect session to follow that up with. This brand new family of 3 is a beautiful example of why I love doing what I do. Give me all the baby snuggles, mom & babe hanging in the nursery or a little skin to skin with dad.
I love watching friends become parents and seeing them care for and nurture this new little stranger that the nurses and doctors have let them take home from the hospital. It just warms my heart.
Russ & Katrina… Ophelia is perfect and you guys are such amazing parents already. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

I had the most amazing time photographing this handsome little guy with his bright blue eyes & irresistible dimples! Along with their pup, I met this family at my parents’ property when the leaves were the most amazing golden colour. We had so much fun crunching in the leaves, being thrown high into the air and capturing some beautiful memories. Totally swooning over this session 🙂
Enjoy!

Brit & Nicole gifted their mom a family photo session this fall and it was absolutely breathtaking! The leaves were the most perfect colour, Ronan was just the cutest little babe in a box & the entire family looked amazing. I am so lucky to have access to such a beautiful place to take photos… and it just happens to be Jeanette’s favourite place on earth! Here are some of my favourites.

A fun little list of things we want to do with our littles around #yeg this frosty winter

I always jump at the opportunity to photograph my newborn families again [click here to see Brett and Britt’s newborn session]. I find it so exciting to see how much these little peanuts have grown and the personalities they’ve developed. It is also great to reconnect with parents as I often haven’t seen them since those highly emotional, physically exhausting, sleep-less newborn days. Needless to say, the following sessions typically go a lot more smoothly with fewer diaper changes, snack breaks, bouncing and crying!
